The Orion XXL Plus is a high-security watch and jewellery safe from the Orion collection, which Buben & Zorweg introduced in 2013. Its door is covered in quilted leather squares, each 15 by 15 cm, set in a stainless steel frame that is sanded ten times and polished by hand.
Two parallel lines of stitching and a bold vertical seam give the front its character, the curved corners are wrapped in leather, and the handle is set by hand with eight mother-of-pearl inlays around an engraved stainless steel ring.
Time Mover® is the Buben & Zorweg winding module that keeps one automatic watch in motion. The security class refers to certification by VdS, the German testing institute for burglary resistance, and class III gives the higher level of protection, which also makes the safe heavier. Choose the version with its security class, the leather colour and the interior layout, and the price updates with every choice. The drawing of each layout shows how the inside is arranged. Classic stainless steel and the six Essential leather colours are included in the price. Each of the 23 Exclusive leather colours adds 2 500 €. Steel in graphite, bronze or gold is a custom finish. Leave your request and our manager will contact you to agree the steel and the full specification before production.

Most in-stock pieces are dispatched within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery then takes 5 to 10 business days in Europe and up to 14 business days elsewhere. Pre-order pieces take 2 to 4 months.

Since 2013 the Orion has set the tone for Buben & Zorweg watch and jewellery safes. Its quilted leather squares are the heart of the design, and after more than a decade the collection still pairs fine craftsmanship with the best materials.
It now comes in six sizes, four stainless steel finishes and 29 leather colours.

Orion Square
Depending on the size, 12 to 45 squares cover the door. Each one measures 15 by 15 cm and is padded to a height of 2 cm.

Crafting the Orion
Made by hand in Pforzheim
Each Orion is made at the Buben & Zorweg manufactory in Pforzheim. Craftspeople cut and stitch the leather, shape every square and fit the steel by hand, so no two safes are quite the same.
